WARNER ROBINS – Officials in Warner Robins are considering construction of a sports complex estimated to cost $22 million.

A concept drawing presented to the City Council at a pre-council meeting on Monday shows nine baseball fields and a 43,000-square-foot building with two basketball gyms and an indoor walking track, reports Macon Telegraph.

Neil Clark, the principal architect for Hecht Burdeshaw Architects of Columbus, who prepared the concept, said the project could be completed by June of 2018 if officials make a decision soon, the paper adds.

Warner Robins has $5 million allotted for the project as part of a SPLOST and would have to borrow the remainder, The Telegraph reports.
