Georgia Power makes donation to provide books to Lowndes children

VALDOSTA – Georgia Power Foundation recently contributed $1,250 to purchase Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library books for 50 more children in Lowndes County, its fifth contribution to the program.

The Lowndes Imagination Library Team, established in 2009 by the Valdosta Rotary Club and the Valdosta North Rotary Club, provides Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library books free to children in Lowndes County each month from birth to age 5. LILT has provided books to more than 1,200 children in Lowndes County.
