VALDOSTA— VHS volleyball teams celebrate year one for the 9th grade team, and records for the JV and Varsity teams at their end of the year banquet.
Valdosta High School Volleyball teams celebrate another outstanding season earlier in the week at their end of the year banquet. We celebrated Year One for our 9th grade team, their 8-12 record, and 2nd runner up win in the Bronze bracket at their end of the year tournament at Harris County.
JV ended their season with a record of 14-9 beating many of Valdosta’s big Region and 7A rivalry teams.
Varsity made it to the state playoffs for the second consecutive year and finished second in the Region, first time in the short history of the program. Ending the season with a record of 21-12.

9th Grade Team Awards:
- Best Offensive Player went to Nalani Martin
- Best Defensive Player went to Savannah Pye, and 8th grader at Valdosta Middle School
- Most Improved Player went to Katie Goodwin
- Most Valuable Player went to Jalisha Gibson
Junior Varsity Team Awards:
- Best Offensive Player went to Kaili Spells
- Best Defensive Player went to Terri Pizzaro
- Most Improved Player went to Aya’nna Davis
- Most Valuable Player went to Renaissance Conde
Varsity Team Awards:
- Best Offensive Player went to Alivia Fennell
- Best Defensive Player went to Lilly Parrish
- Most Improved Player went to Isabel Kassum
- Most Valuable Player went to Adair Rodemaker

The following players were also awarded All Region Awards:
- All Region 1st Team: Adair Rodemaker, and seniors Kemari Smith and Lilly Parrish, both for the 2nd consecutive year, 1st time in the school’s history.
- All Region 2nd Team: Alivia Fennall and Isabel Kassum
- All Region Honorable Mention: Stanashia Wright
- Outstanding Stats for the season go to:
- Kemari Smith with 50% of total blocks for the team.
- Kemari Smith and Adair Rodemaker with 60% of total kills for the team.
- Lilly Parrish and Adair Rodemaker with 53% of total digs for the team.

Earlier in the season, lettermen jackets were awarded to our seniors, Lilly Parrish (played 3 years) and Kemari Smith (played 3 years) for their leadership and hard work.
