TIFTON — With the start of the new High School football season just days away, there is even more to look forward to in Tifton than cracking pads.

Tift County Schools and the Touchdown Club have partnered to bring a new digital scoreboard for Brodie Field.  Further, on the back of the new scoreboard will be a message board facing the intersection of Eighth Street and Baldwin Drive.

The Touchdown Club will be selling advertising on the boards to further support the school system, according to reports.

A report in the Tifton Gazette stated funds will be divided between the General Fund (which pays for salaries, supplements, supplies and other things necessary for teaching) and the Partners in Education program (funds that are given directly to principals to use as needed for everything from student rewards, field trip scholarships and specialty supplies).
