Valdosta, Ga.— Two VSU golfers, Wesley Hanson and Chase Weathers, were named to the Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar Team. To earn this accolade in 2019-20 Division II, a golfer must, among other requirements, have a stroke-average of 78.0, a cumulative gpa of 3.2, and play at least 40% of competitive rounds.

VSU was also awarded, being named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) 2019-2020 Academic Team. The Blazers were one of just 27 Division II teams to earn this title and one of just three GSC teams to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (VSU, Delta State, and Lee).
