VALDOSTA — Once you step your foot in the door at Jersey Mike’s Subs, you can smell that they’re doing something right. The franchise has been around since 1956, and so has their bread recipe. Jersey Mike’s is known for their freshly sliced subs served on freshly baked bread, and it’s time that Valdosta has a taste.
Owners Kim and Angelo Crowell are no strangers to opening successful restaurants with the company. The Crowells’ were recognized by Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. as Rookie Franchisees of the Year and have quickly grown their business to six units and nearly 100 employees within a four-year period. They are also frequent speakers and panelists at national franchising conferences.
“We own and operate six Jersey Mike’s locations throughout Tallahassee, FL and South Georgia with plans for additional growth throughout the Southeast,” said Kim Crowell.
Chamber Ambassadors joined the Jersey Mike’s team last week for the official grand opening of the restaurant complete with a ribbon cutting. The grand opening served as a fundraiser to benefit Valdosta State University athletics.
“It has always been important to us to serve our local community, and Jersey Mike’s has given us the fantastic opportunity to do so with this grand opening,” said Kimberly Crowell. “Through our partnership with Valdosta State University Athletics we are able to raise money for a worthy cause and introduce Jersey Mike’s to the Valdosta community.”
For its grand opening, the Valdosta location circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Valdosta State University Athletics. The offer is available through Sunday, March 15.
Jersey Mike’s is open for lunch and dinner and is located at 2941 N. Ashley Street in Suite A100. They are open everyday from 10am-9pm and specialize in fresh grilled hot subs, cold subs and wraps. Find their complete menu online.
