VALDOSTA- The Valdosta-Lowndes Metropolitan Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. held its annual New Member Orientation on Saturday, July 23rd.

The organization hosts this opportunity for new and current members to revisit the mission, goals, structure and initiatives of both the national and local section. Section President, Tiffany Vinson shared her vision of the section and Historian, Kelisa Brown provided the history of the national and local section. Second Vice President, Victoria Copeland provided information on membership responsibilities while First Vice President; Gloria Butler introduced the various committees the section currently has. New members were given packets with information about the section. Parliamentarian, Dr. Deborah Demps formulated an ice breaker which allowed the members to work in groups. Refreshments were served and there were many door prizes.
