TIFTON – Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractor Ozark Striping Co. will be refreshing the striping and replacing raised pavement markers (RPMs) in multiple counties beginning Monday. Refreshed striping and new RPMs are brighter and easier to see, especially at night and in inclement weather, which can help motorists stay on the roadway and in the proper lane.

This is a slow-moving operation that requires rolling lane closures. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce speed and remain alert to changing traffic conditions. If you approach a work crew please do not pass the work truck or trail/buffer vehicle, change lanes behind the truck or trail/buffer vehicle or swerve back and forth to see around the trucks.

The work schedule is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 25-29, in the following counties:

 Echols County

State Route 94, from the Lowndes County line to the Clinch County line

Berrien County

SR 76, from Davis Street to SR 135/Lakeland Highway

SR 168, from Davis Street to the Lanier County line

Ben Hill County

SR 11, from the Irwin County line to SR 107/Industrial Drive and from West Jack Allen Road to the Wilcox County line

Coffee County

SR 135, from the Atkinson County line to Cherokee Hills Road and from Cherokee Hills Road to the Jeff Davis County line

SR 268, from SR 32/Ocilla Highway to the Jeff Davis County line

SR 31, from the Atkinson County line to Chariot Trail and from Chariot Trail to the Telfair County line

Tift/Turner counties
