VALDOSTA – Extinct from Earth for millions of years, 15 species of prehistoric dinosaurs are making their way to Wild Adventures Theme Park in 2016. The park announced today the extensive new dinosaur exhibition “Dinosaur Explore” will open March 12 and run throughout the 2016 season.
The prehistoric creature collection features more than 20 life-size dinosaurs with special effects allowing them to move and roar just like their ancient ancestors. Families will find their favorites among them including the giant Tyrannosaurus Rex, often referred to as the king of the dinosaurs. Two gentle, plant-eating brachiosaurus will tower above guests over 26 feet tall and 33 feet long. The collection also includes the three-horned triceratops, a ferocious allosaurus, a winged pteranodon and many more scientifically accurate species.
“We add more fun and new adventures to the park every year, but this is really something special.” General Manager Molly Deese said. “We’re thrilled to bring our guests something they’ve never experienced at Wild Adventures and give them a new part of the park to explore.”
The Dinosaur exhibition will be located in a previously unused part of the theme park creating a new area to enjoy in 2016. Nestled among natural elements, guests will discover the dinosaurs as they explore the winding paths. Along the journey, they’ll also discover a dino dig play area where kids can uncover fossils and get their picture hatching from dinosaur eggs. The exhibition will also include a roaming raptor and T-Rex interacting with guests in fun and often surprising ways.
Dinosaur Explore will be included with park admission or a 2016 Season Pass. Wild Adventures currently has a sale running on Season Passes through January 3 with savings up to $20-off the regular price. 2016 Passes also include admission to Wild Adventures Christmas, currently running select days through January 3, 2016.
