VALDOSTA – A pair of South Georgia high schools have been named to High School Football America’s Preseason Top 100 list.
Colquitt County comes in at #29 in the country, while defending state champion Valdosta High was slated as the #81 best team in the country.
Colquitt County went 8-5 last year before seeing their season end in the state quarterfinals, while Valdosta went 14-1 in their championship season.
No Tallahassee-area high schools were included in the Top 100, but 12 Florida high schools were. Florida recorded the second-most of any state behind Texas’ 16.
Five Georgia high schools accompanied Colquitt County and Valdosta High in the poll.
