Macon UPS Employee Charged with Stealing VA Drugs

MACON, Ga. – UPS Customer Center employee accused of stealing pills shipped from the Veteran Affairs (VA) Administration, according to 13WMAZ.

Austin Edwards, 19, had been opening packages and taking the contents that were inside. Edwards allegedly opened 11 packages from the VA administration, containing the narcotic hydrocodone, and sold the contents.

Edwards is currently being held without bond under the charges of theft by taking, and possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute.
