VALDOSTA – An End-of-Summer Fireworks Show will fill the air Saturday night at Wild Adventures Theme Park as part of a special three-day Labor Day Weekend.  In support of Second Harvest of South Georgia, the park is offering Buy-One-Get-One-Free admission with a canned food donation Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday. The weekend also marks guests’ last chance to splash and slide at Splash Island Waterpark this season.

One in three children in South Georgia don’t know where their next meal will come from. Wild Adventures is teaming up with Southeastern Credit Union and Second Harvest to collect food and raise awareness of local hunger. For each canned food item donated, guests earn BOGO admission which brings the normal $46 admission price down to just $23.

“We hope our guests will use some of the money they save with this BOGO admission offer and join our team in donating food to this important community effort.” Wild Adventures’ General Manager Molly Deese said. “As a mom, it breaks my heart to think of children going hungry. I know our guests will be here to support this food drive and local families in need.”

With Labor Day marking the unofficial end of summer, this will also be the last weekend to enjoy Splash Island Waterpark this season. The BOGO offer includes admission to both Wild Adventures and Splash Island Waterpark. Saturday night’s End-of-Summer Fireworks Show is also included with admission and will start at dark.

All food collected will go to Second Harvest of South Georgia, the leading hunger-relief organization in the region that services more than 12,500 square miles and 30 counties.
