VALDOSTA, Ga.— On Friday, May 28, the Valdosta State softball team took a loss against the University of North Georgia in the D2 National Championship. The Blazers came out with a strong 3-0 lead up to the bottom of the fourth inning. However, the tide changed for the worst by the sixth. A fourth error by VSU while bases were loaded tied everything up. Shortly after, UNG nailed two runs for a 5-3 lead. The Nighthawks would continue to pull away with a final score of 8-4.
