Martha Bailey Mullis, 60, of Ray City, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina following several years of declining health. She was born on March 10, 1959 in Valdosta to the late Fred and Betty Lou Williams Bailey. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Martha’s family was her whole life. She enjoyed seeing to their needs and loved being involved with every aspect of their lives. She was an immaculate house keeper, an exceptional gardener, a skilled fisherman, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Mullis, Jr. of Ray City; her daughter, Alena Mullis, and her son, Andy Mullis both of Ray City; five grandchildren, Hunter Mullis, Bailey Mullis, Kayla Mullis, Ashtyn Mullis, and Jack Mullis; a brother, David (Fred) Bailey, a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Wallace Garner, and a brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Iris Bailey all of Valdosta; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Justin Mullis and a brother, Ronald “PeeWee” Bailey.
A memorial service for Martha Bailey Mullis will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
