ALBANY Acting Special Agent in Charge (A/SAC) George Crouch, FBI Atlanta, Albany, GA Police Chief Michael J. Persley and Dothan, AL Police Chief Steven Parrish are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who may have robbed banks in both Albany and Dothan.

On September 9, 2016, shortly after 11AM an unknown black male walked into the People’s South Bank at 701 North Westover Boulevard, Albany, Georgia and presented a note to a teller demanding money. The suspect then walked out of the bank with an unknown amount of cash. It has not been confirmed at this time if the suspect was armed.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’0” tall, wearing an army green hat and shirt. He was seen leaving the bank in a white, older model four door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Impala.

Excellent work by the Albany Police Department leads us to believe the robbery may be connected to a second bank robbery that happened on August 18, 2016 in Dothan, AL.

At approximately 11AM on the 18th an unidentified suspect walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 3051 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, Alabama. The suspect presented a teller with a note, indicated he had a gun, and demanded money. A witness told police the suspect left the scene in an older, white, four door passenger vehicle. Video surveillance from a nearby business indicated the car was a late 90’s to early 2000’s Chevrolet Impala.

Surveillance photos of the suspect from the People’s South Bank in Albany, GA and the Wells Fargo Bank in Dothan, AL appear to be the same individual.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle should contact the FBI Atlanta Field Office at (404) 679-9000.
