COLUMBUS, Ga. — A man accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend and her three children was found dead in his Muscogee County Jail cell, according to WWLP.

27-year-old Travane Brandon Jackson was arrested earlier this year on four counts of murder. His girlfriend, 29-year-old Jerrica Spellman, and her three children: three-year-old son King, one-year-old daughter Kensley, and one-month-old daughter Kristen were found stabbed to death in their South Columbus apartments.

Jackson’s body was discovered earlier this week. Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton would not release the identity of the deceased until he could notify their family, however Sheriff Donna Tompkins confirmed the identity.
