MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Another waitress received a special Christmas gift on Friday night. Ole Choby’s waitress, Daryl Collett, was specifically requested by the party of eight says WCNC.
Collett, who has a three-year-old son and is working two jobs to support her family, recently had to miss a week of work to take care of her sick son.
The party called ahead of time to request Collett as their server. General manager Kayla Currie says that they saw something similar on Facebook and wanted to help someone in need.
Collett says that while most of the party were strangers, she did recognize two of the members — her coworker from the bank and the owner of son’s daycare.
Ole Choby’s posted this heartfelt message on their Facebook page.
Collett says her son is doing better now and she is grateful for the party’s generosity.
