ATLANTA, Ga. – The Atlanta Child Murders continues to live on as the convicted killer, Wayne Williams, went before the parole board.
Williams was convicted of killing two adults, not the more than 20 who were killed between 1979 and 1981.
Williams was sentenced to two life terms in 1982.
The next parole hearing for Williams has been set for November 2027.
Members of the foundation “The Wayne Williams Freedom Project” and their private investigator spoke on the steps of Atlanta City Hall on Monday, December 2, 2019, saying they believe this new examination could help exonerate Williams and that they’ve been working on the case for the last 10 months.
