A new Georgia law is making it easier for land owners to clean up abandoned mobile homes.

As of May 1st, 2019, land owners can now petition the county to determine the condition of a left behind trailer.

If it’s found to be derelict, the land owner can then ask the court for ownership and then remove it. A property assessor must be appointed in each county before the land owner can begin the process.
