MOULTRIE – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate an officer involved shooting in Colquitt County.

A Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office deputy was called to a domestic dispute shortly Saturday evening at home on Blackberry Lane. A man who had reportedly assaulted individuals in the home started running at the deputy and refused to stop. The deputy then fired at the man.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
