VALDOSTA — Valwood’s chase for a GISA Class 3A state championship repeat came to an end Friday night in the semifinal round with a 20-13 loss against undefeated John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville.

The defending state champions rallied from a three-touchdown deficit in the third quarter, but ran out of time against another championship-caliber defense.
