ALBANY – Albany Police are asking for the public’s help after upgrading charges against a former APD officer to aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

Jason Eric Yarn, 39, is wanted in connection with a March 15 incident that happened in the parking lot of O’Reilly’s Auto Store on North Slappey Boulevard.

Yarn was involved in what he described to investigators as a citizen’s arrest of a possible battery suspect. He was initially charged with disorderly conduct and released on the citation after headbutting a man.
