Boyfriend charged after woman’s house burns

MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man accused of torching his girlfriend’s residence and making death threats faces arson and other charges related to what are believed to be acts of retaliation against the woman.

William Daniel Grace, 33, has been charged with arson, burglary and criminal damage to property in connection with the fire, as well as terroristic threats and acts. Grace was arrested during a traffic stop, and officers allegedly found meth and a firearm. Grace has also been charged possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Grace had been identified as a suspect in what a state fire marshal has ruled the Sunday blaze an intentionally set fire in the 1300 block of U.S. Highway 319 N. No one was inside the residence at the time of the incident.
