WAYCROSS – One man is in custody following a shooting death in Waycross early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., a 20-year-old man was fatally shot outside of a business in the 200 block of Knight Avenue. Investigators have determined the victim was shot in the chest by someone who was in a car in the parking lot, according to reports from the Waycross Police Department.

Police have not released the victim’s name, and his body will be sent to Savannah for a autopsy.

Edgar Ivan-Catalan was arrested at noon Sunday and charged with murder in connection with the shooting, reports WALB.
