MOULTRIE – A Moultrie man is behind bars after police, searching for stolen property in an unrelated case, find marijuana and packaging materials.

Moultrie Police investigators were looking for stolen property on Norman Street Southeast. Gary A. Thomas was being questioned about the items when officers allegedly smelled marijuana. Investigators reportedly executed a search warrant on Thomas’s residence and discovered marijuana, scales, packaging materials, a weapon and $700 in cash, reports WALB.

Thomas was arrested and now faces several felony charges.
