VALDOSTA – Valdosta City Schools congratulates the 2024 District Spelling Bee winners and the 27 students that were qualified to compete.

The 2024 District Spelling Bee was on January 19th 2024, in which 27 students qualified to compete. Congratulations to Sophia Moore, student of Valdosta Middle School, who claimed the first place title for our District. Ashton McFadden, student of W.G. Nunn Elementary, was First Runner Up, and Caiden Lewis, student of Horne Learning Center, was Second Runner up.

We are so proud of all the contestants, and we wish the best of luck to Miss Sophia Moore as she will continue on to compete in the Region 9 Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
