Karl spent 10 years bringing the Awakino Estate to what he considers paradisaical conditions. He wants individuals willing to live 2 per house. This seemingly communal set up would also include social meetings and dininng in the private winery

Bound off by the Tasman Sea and Awakino River, Karl assures in the NZ Herald that residence will enjoy fishing, swimming, walking, observing fauna, kayaking, and even shopping. A stable is even provided if a potential resident owns a horse.
