BERRIEN CO., Ga. – Country music’s Glen Campbell, who died in 2017, will always be remembered for his iconic song “The Rhinestone Cowboy.” His daughter Ashley Campbell is following in those glittery footsteps.

Campbell will take center stage at the Alapaha Station Celebration in Berrien County on November 9.

Songwriter, singer, banjo player, Campbell juggles all three roles, armed with the ability not only to dream up a modern country song, but to deliver it.

Already known for her work alongside her father, country legend Glen Campbell – who, during his final years as a touring musician, leaned heavily on his youngest daughter as a banjo player, keyboardist and harmony vocalist – Ashley is now stepping out on her own.

Her music is a mix of her wide-ranging influences, combining old school country popularized by her father during the 60s and 70s, with contemporary Americana, rootsy folk and country pop.

Glen Campbell’s longtime fans may hear something familiar in Ashley’s melodies as she embraces these similarities while distinguishing herself as a talented frontwoman.

Ashley is a multi-talented entertainer who plays her own instruments. A newcomer with years of heavy touring under her belt, there’s no denying her iconic country pedigree. She is attracting the spotlight these days with her style, talent and a unique sound all her own.

Ashley Campbell has achieved certifiable guitar player status and will make her inaugural visit to the Alapaha Station Celebration on Saturday, November 9, at 4 p.m. No tickets are required for our headlining entertainer’s first trip to South Georgia—it’s free admission.

The statuesque chanteuse can be seen alongside her six-time Grammy-winning father Glen Campbell in the Oscar-nominated I’ll Be Me documentary chronicling Glen’s bout with Alzheimer’s Disease. Ashley was a lifeline throughout the Rhinestone Cowboy’s worldwide Goodbye Tour with assistance from big brothers Cal and Shannon [she’ll be in Japan just three weeks before Alapaha]. Her poignant original song “Remembering” from the I’ll Be Me soundtrack has racked up a combined 3.5 million YouTube views with “Gentle on My Mind,” “Pancho and Lefty,” and the “Duelin’ Banjos” instrumental all surging past the one million mark.

Influenced by Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Abigail Washburn, the Civil Wars, Steve Martin, and Bela Fleck, the angelic-voiced banjoist starred in the video for Rascal Flatts’ final number one single “Banjo” but waited until 2018 to drop her debut solo record The Lonely One, tinged with country pop and contemporary Americana. She has made appearance on the Grand Ole Opry with Carrie Underwood as well as RFDtv’s Country’s Family Reunion and Larry’s Country Diner.

Also dexterous on mandolin and piano, Ashley possesses her dad’s playful streak. “Better Boyfriend,” a recommended cut from The Lonely One, finds her declaring, “And like a ninja fighter, I even killed a spider in the bathroom with the bottom of my shoe…it ain’t that hard to do…I’d be a better boyfriend than you.” Ashley will be supported by the Danny Dawson Band, Tammy Kendrick and the Country Boys, and Mendi Stone. On Nov. 9 come experience the Campbell legacy of unfurling good times.
