ALAPAHA, Ga. – The Alapaha Station Celebration is coming up November 8-10, 2019. See below for the schedule.



Friday, November 8

  • 6:00 p.m.—”Go Tigers! Saluting Alapaha Elementary School:” All teachers, alumni, and friends are invited to attend a reunion at the Alapaha Gym marking the 25th anniversary of AES’s consolidation.

Saturday, November 9

  • 10:30 a.m.—Parade feat. co-grand marshals Dona Fields [former AES Principal] and Ronnie Floyd [coach]
  • 11:15 a.m.—Berrien High School Band
  • 11:35 a.m.—Welcome by Mayor Waymond Smith, National Anthem, Announcements, + Pledge of Allegiance
  • TBD—The Dazzling Diamonds Dancers [Jacksonville, Fla.]
  • TBD—Cartoon Characters
  • TBD—Mendi Stone
  • 1 p.m. approx.—Tammy Kendrick and the Country Boys [traditional country, Nashville, Ga.]
  • 2 p.m. approx.—The Danny Dawson Band [traditional country, Manor, Ga.]
  • 3:30 p.m.—Intermission + Alapaha Fire Department cake auction
  • 4 p.m.—Ashley Campbell [daughter of Grammy-winning Rhinestone Cowboy Glen Campbell]

Sunday, November 10

  • 11 a.m.—Community Worship Service @ Alapaha Gym
    • Feat. Alapaha Methodist Church Choir [directed by Gail Powell]
    • Guest speaker: Bro. Jimmy McMillan of Glory Church
