TIFTON — La Fiesta del Pueblo, the largest Hispanic festival in South Georgia, comes to Fulwood Park beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, bringing the taste, the sound, the history, the culture and traditions of Latin America to Tifton.

Celebrate a day of fun, authentic foods, Mariachi music and folkloric dances. Admission to the festival and to most of the children’s activities is free.
Non-stop entertainment includes the featured performers — Mariachi Espuelas de América — and Nuestro Folklore Dancers, Grupo de Danzas Cimarrón, Folkorico de Victor Cuevas, Banda Gran Comisión and other local performers. A Street Dance featuring a live band will be from 6-9 p.m.
Typical foods prepared by local vendors will be for sale as well as a variety of arts, crafts and commercial items. The Children’s Area will include face painting, children’s crafts, bouncy houses, giant slides, kiddie train rides, bungee jumping and rock climbing. Booths with information about health, education, social services and community organizations will also be located in the festival area.
