VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University has announced that the school is more than half way toward its capital campaign goal.
The school is looking to raise $53 million in private funds by 2019. It began the campaign, its first ever, on July 1st 2014. Since then the campaign has raised around $30 million.
Better, the school reports it has received donations from around 3,800 donors.
Plans for the funds raised include five key areas with scholarships and facility enhancements a priority.
Even upon the July 1st, 2019 campaign completion, regardless of the results, the school has planned on a second campaign to continue the effort.
