VALDOSTA – DuPont announces the appointment of a new plant manager at the Valdosta facility. Aneesha Johnson took the helm of the Crop Protection facility in January of this year overseeing about 80 employees and consultants.

The DuPont Valdosta plant formulates and packages crop protection products, including insecticides and fungicides to protect fruits, vegetables and row crops for growers worldwide. Workers at the plant also produce products for commercial and residential pest control. Johnson also will have responsibilities for the nearby Logistics and Distribution center. That 150,000 square foot facility is the primary hub for the site’s global distribution of the agriculture products manufactured at the Valdosta plant.

“It’s nice to join a plant site and lead a team where we have such an investment in the local area,” Johnson said. The plant has recently benefited from a multimillion dollar expansion and serves as a key producer in the DuPont network. “The plant is a vital part of DuPont delivering solutions to farmers that help bring healthier and abundant crops such as soybeans, peanuts and vegetables to market,” said Johnson. “We are dedicated to providing the products our customers need and I look forward to continuing the tradition of quality and service here at the Valdosta site,” Johnson added.

Johnson most recently provided leadership and direction to the DuPont™ Nomex® fiber organization but she started her DuPont career in 1997 at the Spruance Site in Richmond, Va. While there, she held numerous positions in support of operations, including technical engineer, line supervisor and she also earned her Six Sigma Black Belt.

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA in Business Administration from University of Maryland-University College.
