NORTH FL/SOUTH GA. North Florida/ South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) recently announced it is providing COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone who served in the military, and their caregivers and spouses, and some other beneficiaries under the authority granted by the SAVE LIVES Act, signed by President Joe Biden March 24, 2021.
Those eligible under the SAVES LIVES Act to receive a vaccine can go to www.va.gov/covid-19-vaccine to register and stay informed on VA’s vaccine rollout process. Veterans who are currently enrolled and receive health care from VA can bypass the registration process and call 352-548-6000 ext. 103755 to schedule an appointment. Those who are eligible are encouraged to attend one of the health system’s no appointment needed clinics in Gainesville or Lake City, Florida.
Upcoming Events: The health system is hosting a Janssen single dose vaccination event at AMVETS Post 422 located at 17313 NW Highway 19 Fanning Springs, Florida on Thursday April 15, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Vaccine supply is limited. Veterans that currently receives VA health care who are interested in receiving the single dose vaccine should call 352-548-6000 ext. 103755 to schedule an appointment TODAY to secure their spot! Non-enrolled Veterans, spouses, and caregivers are able to attend and should sign up at www.va.gov/covid-19-vaccine/ and contact 352-548-6000, ext. 103755 to schedule an appointment.
