GORDON COUNTY, Ga. – A Cessna Citation twin-engine jet disappeared around 10 a.m. on Saturday. After hours of searching, Gordon County authorities found the wrecked plane in “one of the most remote areas” that was only accessible by foot, according to AJC.

The identities of the victims, three men and one woman, have yet to be released. According to air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, Heidi Kemner, the jet departed around 9:45 a.m. and was headed towards Nashville. It is unclear if the snow played a part in the crash.

Kemner says that it could be up to 18 months before the factual report is ready.
