BARTOW COUNTY — Residents early Tuesday found a dead body outside a business in Bartow County.  The body had as many as 6 gunshot wounds.

According to Lt. Robert Moultrie of the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office in an Associated Press report, residents, leaving a home on Johnson Lane off of Highway 441 located behind the business, found the body of a man lying on the ground.

The victim was in his 30’s, according to the report and is believe to be from the area.

“Going to work this morning.  Pulled up at a stop sign.  There was a big guy on the ground, face first,” reported eyewitness Jordan Evans.

Authorities believe the victim was murdered at that spot and not dumped there after the fact.  They are working to locate the victim’s family and did not release additional information at the time of the report.
