VALDOSTA — Wild Adventures participated in the nationwide World’s Largest Roller Coaster Ride with guests aboard Twisted Typhoon.

Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, GA participated in the fifth annual World’s Largest Roller Coaster Ride alongside theme parks across the country. Riders were able to join the fun at Twisted Typhoon and received an exclusive poster celebrating 30 years of fun at Wild Adventures.

The event, created by the American Coaster Enthusiasts, takes place each year during World Roller Coaster Appreciation Month, celebrates the anniversary of LaMarcus Thompson’s Switchback Railway, the first modern roller coaster, which opened on June 16, 1884. Parks across the country dispatched roller coasters simultaneously at 2 p.m. Eastern Time to recognize this achievement in the world of amusement rides.

Wild Adventures is home to 6 coasters, ranging from family coasters for children to high-thrills and inversions. The park is currently open daily for summer fun.
