Two arrested in Valdosta for stolen vehicle, drugs

VALDOSTA – VPD make two arrests after locating a stolen vehicle with drugs inside at a Circle K on St. Augustine Rd.

Release:

Arrested 1: Jaylynn Emile Myers, African American female, 20 years of age, Valdosta resident

Arrested 2: Lionel Jervon Lee, African American male, 24 years of age, Valdosta resident

On April 21, 2024, at approximately 12:05 pm., a proactive Valdosta Police Department K9 Officer observed a reported stolen vehicle parked at a gas pump in the parking lot of Circle K, at 511 North St. Augustine Road. The officer confirmed the vehicle as being stolen, and as soon as other officers arrived at the scene, the occupants inside the vehicle were detained. 

As officers investigated the case, they located cocaine inside the vehicle. 

The driver, later identified as Jaylynn Emile Myers, 20 years of age, refused to give her name to officers on the scene. Myers was placed under arrest on the following charges:

  • Theft by receiving stolen property-felony;
  • Possession of cocaine-felony;
  • Obstruction of a law enforcement officer-misdemeanor; and
  • Possession of drug-related related objects-misdemeanor.

A passenger, later identified as Lionel Jervon Lee, 24 years of age, was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine (felony) and possession of drug-related items (misdemeanor).

Both Myers and Lee were transported to Lowndes County Jail.
