Man charged in Nashville, GA murder, assaults

“At approximately 12:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, Nashville Police Officers were dispatched to a possible homicide at a residence in the 700 block of S. Davis Street, Nashville, GA.

Upon arrival Officers came in contact with 20-year-old Jared Dean Zisman at the front door of the residence who was immediately detained pending clearing of the residence.

As officers entered the home, an adult female was found in a bedroom with severe bleeding wounds to the head and face. As officers continued to clear each room, a deceased adult male, also with severe head trauma, was discovered in a separate bedroom. A third victim, a 19-year-old male, who was also in the residence at the time of the assaults, sustained non-life-threatening injures.

The female was transported by Berrien County EMS to South Georgia Medical Center and she was later transported to a medical facility in Jacksonville, FL where she remains listed as in critical condition.

Further investigation revealed that Jared Zisman had committed the assaults on all three victims and he was formally taken into custody and charged with one count Felony Aggravated Battery (Family Violence), two counts Felony Aggravated Assault (Family Violence) and one count Felony Murder. Zisman is currently lodged in the Berrien County Jail pending arraignment.”
