The VLPRA says that Valdosta/Lowndes parks, which have been closed due to COVID-19, will reopen today, albeit with some restrictions in place.
Visitors to the parks will be required to practice social distancing, follow the CDC’s guidelines on personal hygiene prior to visits, and they are asking that you do not use the parks or trails if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Face masks are strongly encouraged.
Facilities remaining closed for now include playgrounds, the Freedom Park Dog Park, Pools, the Senior Center and Mildred Hunter Community Center.
Additionally, the VLPRA say to be prepared for limited access to public restrooms and water fountains.
