Release:
Today, March 26, Governor Brian Kemp ordered all Georgia K-12 schools to remain closed through at least April 24, in an effort to fight the ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
According to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Kemp’s order “gives K-12 schools the power to reopen on April 27, though he could extend the closure if the pandemic crisis worsens.”
Valdosta City Schools will remain closed through April 24. If we see that the closure needs to be extended, we will immediately share that information via our web and social media sites as well as local media outlets.
