VALDOSTA  – Students arrived at Lowndes High School Friday morning to find “derogatory terms and images” spray painted on a school building near special education classrooms.

“The spray painting was mainly on glass areas but included a small amount on the actual brick structure,” according to a release from the Lowndes County School District. “Due to the hard work of the custodial and maintenance staff, administrators, faculty and students, 95 percent of the graffiti was cleaned up by 8:30 a.m.”

School administration said it is working diligently to find who was responsible for the incident.

“That person or persons will be disciplined appropriately,” stated the school release.
