
VALDOSTA – Tuesday was opening night for Miracle League baseball players in Valdosta.
The league pairs children and adults with disabilities with buddies to play baseball.
Almost 100 players and 250 volunteers were there for the start of the league’s fifth season.
The league also hopes this will be their last season on their current baseball field.
The Miracle League has raised $400,000 needed for a $1.6 million new complex with a rubberized field. Organizers will be breaking ground in November.
