LAKE PARK — An eight foot alligator refused to move out of the road for police officers on Monday.

Around 12:45 a.m. Lake Park police officials tried to remove an alligator from Lakes Boulevard.

The police contacted an alligator trapper in Hahira to remove the gator from the road. The trapper told police he would be releasing the alligator into a pond.
