CORDELE — On Thursday night police responded to a shooting on the 300 block of South 12th Street.

Upon arrival Cordele police officers found 39-year-old Tellis Fort on the ground with gunshot wounds.

Upon arrival to Crisp Regional Hospital, Fort was pronounced dead.

Cordele Police and Georgia Bureau of Investigation are now looking for two men witnesses reported seeing fleeing the scene. The case is still under investigation.
