ALBANY — Police officers used a stun gun to end a stand off with a Lee County man on Tuesday.

The man, 45-year-old Robert Dean led police on a car chase down Cook Road.

On Tuesday, Dean shot at a male after the male confronted him about his 5-year-old daughter being in the car. He then began a car chase with the police.

Dean’s wife grabbed the child from the vehicle when the chase ended on 521 Philema Road North.

Dean stepped out of the vehicle and held a gun to his head, that is when police stunned him. Dean was taken to the hospital for evaluation and then taken to Lee County Jail.

No one was injured during the incident.
