VALDOSTA — Wiregrass Georgia Technical College’s Office of Marketing and Public Relations has been awarded five Gold National Medallion Awards for Marketing by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations.

Wiregrass received gold awards in the following categories; in the Community Relations/Advocacy category for their “Changes Campaign”, a campaign to promote the new Zell Miller HOPE Grant, addition of new programs to the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grants and new HOPE loan programs offered by the state specifically for technical college students ; the Promotion Campaign for Special Events category for the college’s 50th Anniversary events recognizing the anniversary of the Valdosta Campus; Video Advertisement/PSA/Single for the “Dual Enrollment” video that was produced by a Digital Media Production program graduate and used to promote early college credit programs for high school students; Viewbook category for the “Welcome Book” a general college brochure ; and Class Schedule category received an award for “Growing You”, a magazine style catalog of programs offered through the Department of Economic Development.

Wiregrass Tech’s President Dr. Tina K. Anderson shared, “I am extremely proud of these awards for our college. To be recognized at any level is such a compliment, but to be recognized on a national level puts our Marketing team among the best in the nation. These awards speak volumes about the quality of work coming out of our marketing department as well as on-campus print shop.”
