CRISP CO. — On Saturday, Jan. 10, 24-year-old Charles Mills was arrested for attempting to open a locked cooler at Lake Blackshear Resort.
Employees found the man trying to get into the resort’s cooler while holding a pistol. A Crisp County deputy, George Camp arrived and asked Mills to drop the gun and then took him into custody.
The firearm belonged to a friend of Mills and was taken without his knowledge.
Mills is currently in jail and was charged with Burglary, Possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and Possession of a firearm at a public place.
