Despite many cruise ships having been quarantined in the past few months, the industry as a whole hasn’t fallen to its knees. In fact, NY Post reports that cruise bookings for 2021 are 9 percent up on this time last year. Some would think that the dire situation many cruise passengers are facing now, with no one willing to allow them to dock, would all but cripple cruise prospects for a little longer. However, it is important to note that the report doesn’t account for the many re-bookings that may have acquired once the spread COVID-19 caused forced cancellations for this year’s planned vacations.
