VALDOSTA – A unanimous vote put Valdosta High School’s defensive coordinator in the head coach’s chair Monday night.
Alan Rodemaker will be the new head of the VHS football program. The Valdosta City School Board unanimously approved his hire at a called meeting Monday night.
Rodemaker served as defensive coordinator for six years and gathered support from players and Superintendent Dr. Todd Cason. He was named interim head coach when former head coach Rance Gillespie resigned and accepted a position at Georgia Southern University.
