TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — A Tallahassee woman has been arrested on aggravated battery charges, accused of cutting her ex-boyfriend with a knife during an argument.

20-year-old Abrianna Bridges was taken into custody Wednesday.

According to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the victim and his friend were walking to a bus stop on Orange Avenue when they saw Bridges drive past them. The victim told police he and Bridges had broken up the previous week.

As the two men were waiting at the bus stop, Bridges allegedly drove up to the bus stop and got out of her car with a kitchen knife in her hand.

The arrest report states the two men began to run away, and Bridges placed the knife into her bra and chased after the men.

The victim’s friend told police he grabbed Bridges in a “bear hug” while the victim took the knife from her. The victim and Bridges reportedly got into a physical altercation as they both struggled to gain control of the knife.

The victim suffered a 3 inch cut to his hand and a half inch laceration to his knee during the struggle.

The victim said he was finally able to grab the knife from Bridges, but the key to his house fell out of his pocket during the altercation and Bridges picked up the key and ran away.

According to arrest documents, Bridges used the key to steal a lighter and a bag of tobacco from the victim’s residence.

Bridges has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, burglary, petit theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
